Eco Fair Saturday 24th September 2022

EcoFair hosted by our Eco-Church group on September 24th

Our group was delighted  with how this event went, and want to thank all the people from AFC, and St Michael’s, who helped us to host  a variety of other organisations, also concerned with care for the environment, and living a sustainable lifestyle. As well as those whose names show up in the photo of our poster, Amersham Town Council joined in to inform us on their green, and energy saving initiatives. Councillor Mark Roberts, our Town Mayor, opened the event for us, and a succession of visitors enjoyed looking at and interacting with the exhibitions and talking to the representatives of Bucks, Berks and Oxon Wildlife Trusts, Amersham in Bloom and Sustainable Amersham. We were delighted that Richard Winters, who was featured in a local press article because of the wildlife films he takes, was there to talk with visitors about the creatures he loves, especially those which could be viewed on the monitor in some clips which Michael had uploaded. Hazel had arranged activities for children and it was noticeable how much children love animals from snails to badgers.Children from St Mary’s CofE Primary School had sent paintings done by their Tuesday Art Club.

We look forward to running another EcoFair next year!
